This video was inspired by the Far East Movement's 'Freal Luv' music video. Taking advantage of Yokohama's Chinatown's Chinese New Year Festivities, we thought it would be interesting to combine this colorful parade in the streets with Japanese street dancers. The video opens up with daytime shots of the city's treats and crowded streets. The new year's parade is mainly known for it's lion dance and 'Dragon dance' crew hailing from Kobe. The video then quickly fades to night as our first masked duo take center stage in a neighboring gazebo. This was an ideal location for us for 2 reasons: it was far from the crowd, and was still decorated with chinese lanterns. Nanoi and Marcolini, also known as Geisha, came through fitted and animated the beat with their robotic style. Falling on a mask store earlier in the day, we thought these would add a little extra flavor to the video, and swiftly added them to the set. The video then moves from Yokohama, back to the capital city, Tokyo. Here we shot with one of waacking's finest badqueen's: Ibuki. Being the month of February though, we quickly understood that we weren't going to spend too much time late at night in the streets shooting because of how cold it was. Walking around popular intersections we found flashing lights and perfect backdrops for the song and implemented them for the closeup shots of the video. The video then finishes with shots of Tokyo tower and fish, complementing the overall theme. Happy new year and ...happy Valentines day? Much love to those who came out and helped, dancers included... only they know how cold it was!! Hope you enjoy the video!

Cameras used: DJI Osmo X5 and the Mavic Pro. Don't fly a drone in Tokyo without proper permission first!
