Exploration of 90's UK Garage with Martin ‘Liberty’ Larner and Matt ‘Jam...

Twenty years ago, a musical revolution was taking place south of the river Thames. Clubbers were congregating in areas like Elephant and Castle to listen to a seductive, swinging take on house music that would come to be known to the whole world as UK Garage.

In episode one of The Art of the Party, we head down to Vauxhall and beyond to meet up with a few of the faces who made UK Garage what it was. Without the contributions of Martin "Liberty" Larner, and Matt Jam Lamont, it's likely that UKG wouldn't have sounded—or looked—so instantly iconic.

Ending up at the Old Blue Last in Shoreditch for a very special night of garage past and present hosted by Desperados, why not immerse yourself in the world that put British clubbing back on the map?
