Pleasurekraft - Corpse Reviver Number 1

Get involved:

After 7 years of chart topping hits covering an array of genres, Pleasurekraft have announced the release of their debut album "Friends, Lovers, & Other Constellations" set for release on 23rd February.

Whether treading into electronica with the album's existential bookends; "Interiors" and "Last Transmission", or flexing big-room techno muscles on "The Day the Earth Stood Still" & "Rigel", there is an indelible fingerprint throughout the 11 tracks that merits continuous listens to reveal its multi-layer depth. Filled with cinematic and cosmological references throughout, what makes "Friends, Lovers, & Other Constellations" truly unique is that it is not merely music for a clubbing experience, but something more, something akin to a musical mission statement; To prove that there is more to dance music than just a 4/4 beat, cliche drug references, and party themed vocals. From Casey Gerald's stirring sermon on "G.O.D. (Gospel of Doubt)", to the searingly cynical "Corpse Reviver Number 1", this debut album is wholly visceral on a musical and thematic level.

Having established a firm reputation for creating standout productions since the release of the now iconic "Tarantula", Pleasurekraft's musical evolution has moved towards a much tougher, atmospheric blend of melodic techno in recent years, comprised of big room drums, soaring breaks, and smart, unpredictable vocals. This self-dubbed "cosmic techno" sound has garnered support from a range of techno heavyweights, including Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Nicole Moudaber & many more.

While "Friends, Lovers, & Other Constellations" is certainly dressed in full techno regalia, it's pulsing heart yearns toward a greater understanding of the Cosmos, and humanity's place within it.

Avengers: Infinity War' - Could The Soul Stone B'Avengers: Infinity War' e In Wakanda? | Fan Theory

Black Panther might be on its way to being the most critically acclaimed and successful film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Reviews are pointing out its strong villain, layered story, and great cast as indicators why it stands apart from other Marvel films. There’s also very little to connect it to the greater MCU offerings outside of the appearances we’ve seen in past films and those post-credits scenes that hint at what is coming in a few months.

That said, where does the film leave us on the greater mystery of the final Infinity Stone.

Rene LaVice 'Cold Crush' Out Now ft. Gydra

Rene teaming up with Gydra (Neurofunk) for a fire kickstarter track. Guitar rifts and deep drums deliver a heavy metal energy sure to get necks cracking and feet moving. The unlikely collab translates into a perfect storm. Aggressive and tenacious thee track hits hard. Festie season is just about here. This track will no doubt decimate venues on a global scale. Rene LaVice clearly enjoys what he does. This translates in every track.

Following the traction of his groundbreaking Headlock release, Canadian artist René LaVice is a name which consistently pushes the boundaries through his creative and neoteric approach to bass music. Since signing to the legendary and proverbial label RAM Records over 8 years ago, his work has stretched across an array of platforms, including remixing the likes of Wilkinson, Rudimental, Nero and A-Trak. As well as supporting the legendary Prodigy, whilst dropping a multitude of releases including two top-notch albums, 2017 saw his takeover of the ‘Drum and Bass Show’ from Friction on BBC Radio 1.

What wasn’t expected was his collaboration with Gydra, a Russian outfit plucked from the deepest and darkest depths of neurofunk. More commonly known for their successes on a swathe of underground labels – they have climbed their way into the Beatport Top 10 on multiple occasions and have always demonstrated a high degree of virtuosity and consistency in their production since making themselves known in 2015.

Now together with Lavice, the 3 reputable producers have teamed up as a complete force to be reckoned with and provided us with the high-octane masterpiece they call ‘Cold Crush’.
