“We Do What We Want", “Just One More” and “Point Of No Return” – all club smash hits from the one and only We Are The Brave, a UK based label run by Alan Fitzpatrick. Unless you’ve been living on another planet, you’d be hard pushed to have not seen the labels rapid rise to one of the key players in the underground circuit.

Darius Syrossian, Sasha, Leonardo, Reset Robot and Gary Beck are some of the names to grace the labels release schedule, and this year the label hosts multiple showcase events including a 5000 capacity rave in Dublin and a take-over of Room 2 at London’s legendary Fabric club. So, I hear you say, what could they possibly do next? Well, how about UK favourite Skream raising the roof with new track 'Poison' on We Are The Brave...

Early one February Friday morning an email pings into Alan Fitzpatrick’s inbox. “Easy bruv! Literally just finished this track and I reckon you’ll like it!” was Skream's intriguing message. Fast forward just a couple of hours, and a whirlwind of activity has occurred. A vocal has been added, parts have been swapped, and out of nowhere something special has been created. Not bad for barely a day’s work!

A thunderous low end is matched by a stirring vocal sample and mind-bending synth breakdowns on the original - a certified club weapon.

Rave, rave and rave on we say, as label boss Alan Fitzpatrick delivers a hammer blow with his ominous, rolling interpretation of the original. His rework’s absolutely massive synth drop drives the track into a full-on trance inspired break.

"Sometimes, some things are just meant to be" muses Fitzpatrick on how the project came to life. "Ideas occur, actions happen, and everything falls into place. What started out as a creative itch very quickly escalated into something really exciting, so there were obviously special forces at work that day!"

Techno's leading protagonists mastermind what is sure to be one of the scene’s tunes of the summer. What a banger!
